I have been appointed by the Board of Gov­er­nors of the Cal­i­for­nia State Bar as a mem­ber of the Crim­i­nal Law Sec­tion Exec­u­tive Com­mit­tee. The Com­mit­tee over­sees the Crim­i­nal Law Sec­tion of the State Bar and is respon­si­ble for edu­cat­ing attor­neys con­cern­ing state and fed­eral crim­i­nal law and pro­ce­dure, and review­ing and com­ment­ing on pro­posed leg­is­la­tion and jury instructions. I will serve a three year term as a mem­ber of the Exec­u­tive Com­mit­tee (2011 — 2014).

I am cer­ti­fied as a spe­cial­ist in crim­i­nal law by the State Bar of Cal­i­for­nia Board of Legal Spe­cial­iza­tion.  To attain this cer­tifi­cate I have passed a com­pre­hen­sive exam­i­na­tion, and have under­gone a peer review process.  The State Bar cer­ti­fies experts in other fields.  If you need qual­i­fied coun­sel, con­sult the State Bar Spe­cial­ist site to locate an attor­ney in your area.
