Center for Justice & Accountability
I would urge you to check out the Center for Justice & Accountability ("CJA"), a non-profit human rights law organization. CJA brings civil lawsuits under the Alien Tort Statute of 1789 and the Torture Victim Protection Act of 1991. These acts permit US citizens and non-citizens to sue if they or their family members are victims of torture or other human rights violations. The defendants in these case are the perpetrators of the violations who by law must reside in or visit the United States. The CJA has an excellent website, which is now listed in the legal resources section. They are in need of donations and will accept vehicles and other equipment. The CJA does important work by compensating victims, ensuring accountability and publicizing human rights abuses.
